What is included in the ticket price?

Are there any discounts available?
Yes, discounts are available. If you are a EuroClio member, student, or retiree, reach out for a discount code. Accepted workshop facilitators will receive a discount code. Additionally, if you buy your ticket before October 1st, you get the ticket at the Early Bird price.
Can I get a discount if I am hosting a workshop at the Conference?
Yes, you will receive a discount if you are accepted to host. This price is fixed regardless of when you purchase the ticket. Exact pricing TBA.
What if I missed the Early Bird discount?
Due to the setup of this Eventbrite page, we cannot apply the Early Bird discount after the promotion has ended. If you are eligible for any additional discount codes, be sure to get them (by reaching out to us) as soon as possible to avoid paying more!
Are discounts stackable?
Membership, student/retiree and workshop discounts are not stackable. You can receive only one discount at a time.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
You can cancel your participation 30 days before the event and receive a refund. After that date, we generally cannot accept cancellations, except in cases of tragic or disastrous circumstances. Eventbrite's fee is included in the ticket price, and that amount is nonrefundable.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else if I am unable to attend?
Yes, you can generally transfer your ticket to another person, but you will always have to inform us in advance. However, this is only possible if you do not benefit from any discount(s).
Is it possible to get one-day tickets?
This year, we are exploring bringing back per-day and even half-day tickets. More information will be announced at a later date.

Programme, Workshops & Participation
Will there be a programme for early arrivals?
Yes, as usual, we plan a limited programme for people arriving early on 21 April 2027 (Wednesday). We will announce details on the website as they become available.
Will there be virtual attendance options available?
Currently, we are not planning this option. Some recap videos will be made available after the conference.
Can I receive a certificate of attendance or professional development credits?
You will receive a certificate of attendance after the Conference. However, currently, we do not offer professional development credits.
How can I host a workshop at the Conference?
We plan to open a call for workshop proposals in August 2027 and close applications by the end of October. Late applications will not be considered. Please follow this website or EuroClio’s Newsletter for open workshop calls for next year! We usually do such announcements in late summer.
Where can I find more information about the programme?
The programme, together with further details on the venue, will be available via this website.
What should I bring with me to the conference?
We recommend bringing promotional materials for the work you wish to share.
Audience, Language & Membership
How can I become a EuroClio member?
We offer opportunities to organisations, associations, and individuals who want to influence education reform and collaborate with cross-border networks. Therefore, if you want to become one of our members, you can find more information here.
What is the primary language of the conference?
Since our community includes professionals from all over the world, our Annual Conference will be held entirely in English.
Is the conference only suitable for professional educators?
Our Annual Conference is not only intended for professional educators. Students or anyone interested in our work, history, civics, or education professionals and enthusiasts in general are welcome to join us. Every year, we have people from various fields joining our community.
Networking, Social Events, Lodging & Meals
Are meals provided during the conference?
Yes, we generally provide meals included in the ticket price. Exact meals will be announced at a later date.
Will there be networking events or social activities?
Yes, we plan to host networking events, such as the Pub Quiz, Happy Hour and the Festive Party. Details TBA.
Will there be discounts on hotels?
Each year, we reach out to hotels and negotiate deals if we can. In the last few years, this turned out not to be possible, but we keep trying. If we succeed, we will announce it on this website and share details privately with registered participants.
Travel, Venue & Safety
What about my personal safety during the event?
We have policies that all our participants are expected to follow. Please find them here.
How can I get to Braga and around?
We aim to organise all event venues within walking distance of each other, whenever possible. Braga is well-connected to nearby cities by public transport. We will share more details at a later date.
How is my data treated?
We follow strict GDPR measures in accordance with our Privacy and GDPR Policy.
